One day at ALCS, Game 2 at Fenway Park in Boston their was 4 blind men sitting be hide home plate. The all LOVED the Boston Red Sox and they knew everything from the player to what was happening. Even thought they can't see they make it up in other ways."What other ways?" you might say well listen in as I tell you "play by play" of what they say.
"Welcome you Boston Red Sox!" the announcer say. Ok the blind man in seat number 14 is talking,"Buck should have a nasty curve-ball, as I hear from the fan and the broadcaster expression in their voices." The first pitch goes bye. Now the man in seat 15 says,"Not the curve ball, the catcher glove made to loud of a noise to be a curve-ball.Buck got out of the inning and Elsberry, Victorino and Perdora are due up now. The guy in seat 16 know says, "Elsberry is a great outfield that can hit the ball every where." Now Elsberry steps up to the plate and he get a nice double into right field; and the 4th blind man ask" How can we see the game with out seeing the game..."

Book Project #2
Million Dollar Throw
By Mike Lupica
Million
Dollar Throw by Mike Lupica is a realistic sport novel about a boy
named Nate Brodie who is in love with the game of football and his
favorite team the Patriots. In the beginning of the story Nate and his
best friend Abby go to get this autograft football signed by Nate
favorite player Tom Brady. While Their Abby spots a sign for a contest
that the store is having. The Contest is with a $500 purchase or more
you can enter a drawing to throw a football, through a target in Half
Time of the Patriots game on Thanksgiving.Nate Purchase was more that
$500 show he enter. Couple Days later the watch the drawing and he wins.
But along the way Nate, Abby and his family start to have some problems
and Nate is the one that can fix them. The only way to fix the problems
is to win the Million Dollars. Nate won the million dollars but he
doesn’t know who to help Abby his best friend that is going to move to a
school because she is turning Blind his family that is losing their
house because they don’t have enough money. In the end he gives the money
to Abby for he to have her eyes fix. The themes are instead of using
money on yourself, you should use it on other people. Or in other words,
you can change someone's life by not being greedy and friendship.
Nate
is the biggest shower of the theme of instead of using money on
yourself, you should use it on other people and friendship. He and his
Million Dollar that he wins help Abby get her sight back and move back
to their normal school.Through the story Nate and Abby alway were
together and if they weren’t they were texting. Everyday Nate and Abby
would go play catch even to Abby didn’t have the best of sight they
still did. Nate would try to baby throw and Abby was such a good and
close friend that she knew that he was babying her and she didn’t like
it. On page 30 she even says “I may be blind, Brady...””But I’m not
stupid.” that show that she can use her other senses to tell if Brady is
babying her cause of her blindness. That show that she know a lot about
him. Next Nate never in the story talks about how he is going to use
the money on himself. It’s always how can my family use it or how can
Abby use it never what can I buy or what can I do, Never.
Not
only does Nate show the theme but also the event that happen show the
theme too. The are many events in the story that portray friendship
because they are such good friends, but for writing prepubes I’ll chose
the one that stick out to me the most. In Chapter 3, Brady and Abby go
to the park to play catch, Abby just got some crazy glass to help her
sight. While playing catch Brady is babying her and Abby knows Brady so
well that she get mad at him for babying her. Brady say he is just
trying not to hurt her but she said she could take it:and the next throw
Brady throws it normal and he hit Abby in the glasses and he knew
right away that something REALLY bad was wrong with her(even more than
before.) Next event that combines both theme is at the end of the book
when Brady win the million dollars and instead of using it for himself
he gives the money to Abby to use to fix her eyesight show she can come
back to her normal school with Nate.
Million
Dollar Throw is great book, and I would recommend it to anyone who
loves football or just a good old friendship novel. Brady and Abby are
great character to read about and the story could even help you make
decision with money. But overall it is a great story with a amazing
lesson with money and how to use it and friendship.

The Pearl
The Pearl by John Steinbeck is a short story about a family that find a pearl to get money to pay for their sons doctor bill. But along the story the event and characters portray a theme of money doesn't alway bring happiness and of that everything is either good or evil.

These events show the theme of everything is good or evil and these are all the main events.
The main characters show the theme in that they are not happy when they get the pearl because it draws negative attention like robbers and bad people trying to steal the pearl or kill Kino and Juana. They every say that they can hear evil songs coming out of the pearl.
The themes of The Pearl are portrayed by the event and character and the theme are that money doesn't always bring happiness and that every thing is either good or bad. Steinbeck even states, “And, as with all retold tales that are in people's hearts, there are only good and bad things and black and white things and good and evil things and no in-between anywhere.”

Response to A Dark Brown Dog And The Day I Got Lost
Response to A Dark Brown Dog And The Day I Got Lost
By Trevor Sykes
In the stories, The Day I Got Lost by Isaac Bashevis Singer and A Dark Brown Dog by Stephen Crane, the authors conva use to a tone of pandemonium, but they show it different was. The Day I Got Lost has a point of view 1st person but A Dark Brown Dog is 3rd. Next I will show you how the point of view affect who the tone is on.
The Day I Got Lost shows a tone of pandemonium with character, Professor Shlemiel. He is in an extreme state of confusion because he keep misplacing/losing thing and forget his address. Professor you might say is a word for smart people but when you put Schlemiel is mean a stupid, awkward, or unlucky person. So he is the best of being stupid, awkward, or. The point of view in this story is what is different from A Dark Brown Dog. He is confused but in A Dark Brown Dog the point of view changes.
A Dark Brown Dog show the tone of pandemonium by 3rd person. The character are not affected by the tone. More the people reading the story have a viewpoint of pandemonium. The reader are in a state of confusion because the characters in the story keep changing their love/hate for the dog. A 1st the dog follows and the boy kicks the dog and then he love and so on and so on until the dad goes to far and throwing the dog out the window and the dog dies. At those point I think the people reading where very confused, do the love the dog or do they hate the dog. This states the confusion. So A Dark Brown Dog and The Day I Got Lost have the same tone of pandemonium but the view point make it different.
